Street Seisiún Competition - 500 euro in cash prizes

IF DAY IS WET, COMPETITION WILL TAKE PLACE IN VILLAGE PUBS

This competition takes place on Sunday, March 24th between 2-4pm. Minimum per group is 2. Each group will be asked to perform for one hour and each session group will be assigned a performance location in Ballydehob. These assignments will be made by the Ballydehob Traditional Music Festival Commitee.

There will be a total prize fund of €500 in prizes and the competition will be divided in two categories - Under 16 and Over 16

Adjudication
The judges will not be made known to the musicians and will comprise both qualified adjudicators and members of general public.
Judging criteria: Only Irish Traditional music is acceptable for performance in this competition, variety within the performance is also welcomed, through the medium of song, recitation, dance etc. Other factors which will be noted by the adjudicators are variety, blend of instruments, interaction between performers, humour, spontaneity and general entertainment value.

NO BUSKING ALLOWED!
